Milab started producing microphones in Sweden 60 years ago. Still all their microphones are made by hand in their plant in Helsingborg, Sweden.

A typical Milab microphone has a heavy-duty brass body with a state of the art black finish. All microphones pass an extensive quality checking procedure. With each microphone, an individual plot with frequency response and sensitivity is enclosed. Matched pairs are available upon request. All models are developed by Milab in their laboratories and tested in our acoustic chamber. Milab has their own service staff, doing service and tuning on all microphones.

The microphones are well-known and frequently used by discriminating audio professionals all over the world. Milab Microphones are known for the unique sound and design. All microphones are handmade and individually tested with full documentation before shipecping.

Milab puts the utmost effort inbuilding high quality into each microphone! And furthermore, all microphones are delivered with a lifetime warranty

STUDIO SERIES
Perfection in sound and durability

Besides our typical and frequently used broadcasting microphones, the VIP50 and the Embla, we also have the DM-1001. All three of them with variable polar patterns. The DM-1001 digital microphone system meets all demands and high expectations of a modern digital broadcasting studio and uses Milab's dual membrane rectangular capsule.

After the built-in AD-converters, the signals passes through a DSP and to the AES/EBU output. The DSP controls polar patterns, digital gain and filters. Computer interface makes it possible to remote control the microphone settings.

The classic DC96B, the EMBLA and the top of the line VIP-50 all are based on our unique handmade rectangular capsule with double condenser membranes back to back. The EMBLA and the VIP-50 have five switchable directional patterns.

HANDHELD SERIES
At home on Stage or in the Studio
Our handheld omni-directional condenser microphone, LSR OMNI, intended for radio and television interviews. "Omnis" do not have any proximity effect (bass boost on small distances with spherical sources), which makes the microphone positioning less critical.

The LSR OMNI has an appealing and discrete design as well as excellent clarity on voices. Also, all of the PA and studio microphones are very useful for broadcasting applications.

VM SERIES
Perfect sound for tight and discreet applications
One of our best selling microphone, the VM-44, is a "cigar-shaped" true condenser with a handmade circular capsule. It is designed to yield maximum clarity, when dealing with fast transients and abundant high frequency content. The VM-44 Link version was developed for discrete application demands in for example television studios.
